I don't like cupcakes Dad!

We had Hailey's friend Lily over the other night to eat cupcakes. (Lily is like a week younger than Hailey). Things were going good, until, well......you can see for yourself.

Hailey had her first birthday on Sunday and we had a great time. She had fun opening presents.

Well, tonight Hailey took brushing those six teeth into her own hands.

Taking some steps!

Hailey has taken some steps on her own. I would have to characterize them as maintaining balance with lots of forward motion, but today things are looking different. She is actually putting 3-8 steps together and there is some fluidity to her movement. Here is the beginning and end of a 3 stepper.

I never really enjoyed laundry. Now it takes me about three times as long. oh well....

Cookie Thief

It's fun to watch "lil honey" discover new things. It's equally as nice to watch her do things that are "wrong" without a care in the world. We totally busted her last night red handed getting into her cookie stash.

This is sweet

I'm so proud of Beth in getting this together. I actually started one a while back but never really got it rolling. Kind of ironic considering my line of work.

I'm very excited to get back to MN and can't wait for Tony's wedding! It's hard to believe that we will be celebrating our 2nd anniversary, Hailey's 1st birthday and my "little" bros wedding all in a month's time. Just when things seem to be slowing down, it seems life kicks it into the next gear.

Play Date with Lily and Sara

Hailey had big adventures last weekend. She and I went for a play date with our friends Sara and Lily. Lily is a week younger than Hailey ahd they have had many play dates in the past. On this play date we ate, played, drummed on the table, worked on walking, laughed, went swimming, had a bubble bath, went for a walk, and even stayed over night. (Thanks Sara and Taron) It was full of fun and we were glad to have pictures to capture some of the finer moments.

First Post

Although the plan has been to start a blog for Hailey as well as Jim and I, it has not really happened til now. Thank you Liz for your brilliant idea.

A lot of things have happened in Hailey's first 11 months of life. It has been a journey becoming a parent and Jim and I have both learned a lot along the way. Overall Hailey is a great baby and very easy to love and care for. She has made us laugh a lot. She has a great personality and is already very independent! There have been many firsts including, first explosive diaper, first pout and smile, first trip on a airplane, first time attending a wedding, first foods, first time at the zoo, first swim, first school pictures, and many others. Here are some picture from the last 11 months. We will keep the site up to date on life for all of the Dahline's.
